The surgery now offers same day face to face or telephone appointments with a prescribing Clinician for children under the age of 5. Please contact the surgery to book your appointment.

The practice operates a DNA (did not attend) policy. Three occurrences of DNA without notifying the practice may result in a patient having to find a new GP (full policy is held in reception).

All appointments offered will be of 10-15 minutes' duration. Patients are asked to ring for appointments at 8.00am each morning, if possible. We try to run a flexible system so that patients can be given an appointment when they feel they need see the doctor. This means that not many routine appointments are available and patients may be asked to ring back at 8.00am on the day they require their appointment. An appointment will usually be offered for the morning surgery as the doctor remains at surgery longer. Priority for evening appointments will be given to those patients who are working, as it is not always possible for people to get time off work for routine appointments. 10% of routine appointments can be booked 48 hours in advance and 10% up to four weeks in advance if patients need to inform their employers or to make other arrangements.

For ROUTINE APPOINTMENTS patients may be asked to wait for up to 48 hours for an appointment.

URGENT APPOINTMENTS will be seen the same day.

EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS will be seen the same surgery session.

TELEPHONE APPOINTMENTS are available at each surgery session. You can speak to the doctor over the phone if you feel your problem can be resolved without a face-to-face appointment.


The new NHS App allows our patients to take more control over their own medical records, downloading and registering on the NHS App patients will be able to:

  • Book, Cancel and manage appointments at your GP practice
  • Order repeat prescriptions for collection at your practice or a pharmacy you have already nominated
  • Securely view your GP medical record.
  • Register to be an organ donor.
  • Check your symptoms using the health A-Z from the NHS website
  • Find out what to do when you need help urgently, using NHS 111 online.
