****** Important Notice for all our registered patients ******
As you are most likely already aware Dr Saraf will be retiring on the 30th June 2022 and unfortunately the practice will be closing.
Moorside Medical Centre will remain open for patients registered with Dr Kaur at Moorside Medical Practice.
We urge that if not already done so patients register with an alternative GP for their medical care as stated in the letter received, at the earliest opportunity.
Dr Saraf has been a GP in Oldham for over 35 years, 15 years of which have been at Moorside, and the decision to close the practice has not been an easy one and we hope that you can respect his decision
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our patients and families for their continued support along with our dedicated practice team and we wish him a happy and healthy retirement

Afternoon surgery on Wednesday 22nd December On the afternoon of Wednesday 22 December, all of Oldham’s GP practices will be operating differently in support of the accelerated Covid-19 booster programme. Practices are being supported by GTD Healthcare (GoToDoc) at this time. This means practice phone lines will be diverting to GTD Healthcare as they do for the Out of Hours Service. GTD staff are able to help you with most urgent medical problems during this time, to speak to them you should phone the normal practice number. This will help free up the practice to spend the afternoon focusing on vaccinating as many our patients as possible. The practice remains open during this time, if you need usfor matters that can’t be dealt with by GTD and can’t wait, please come in as usual and we will be pleased to help. Thank you for your understanding

About Saraf Medical Practice
We are a GP training practice and will have a GP registrar working at the practice on a six months or yearly basis.
GP registrars are fully qualified hospital doctors undergoing their GP training.
The surgery operates from the first of the LIFT Buildings to be built in Oldham, a building designed for service delivery to the local community in the 21st century, offering a new style of delivering services to patients across the Oldham Borough. It is fully accessible for all patients.
New service delivery also means a new way of working for staff, and patients will notice that a receptionist for the practice will not always be available to check them in when they have an appointment to see the doctor or nurse. A patient self check-in has been installed for patient use, reducing patients' waiting time when checking in for an appointment and freeing the receptionist to attend to other duties.
Patients can access the building by the front or rear. The car park is at the rear of the building.
